My first Season 8 post...
I have had lots to say about this season of American Idol, but I kept it to myself because I don't want you all to think I am such a freak for getting so into this show. However, you need to know the real me I suppose, so you know who you are associating with. I get VERY into this show. I watch it, and then watch it back to make sure I didn't miss anything, or make hasty judgements. I let my kids stay up later on Tuesday and Wednesday (or Thursday when they change it) so I don't have to be interrepted when watching. I get literally sick when someone I think did really well doesn't make it, like J'Not (pronounced Ja-no) in the last cut on week 3. He sang "Hey there Delila" in a really cool way. He was beat out by Jorge and then Jorge gets freakin' cut in the first week! I mean C'mon! He would have been so great! Anyway, the only thing redeeming about this compulsion is that we watch as a family and like to sing and dance along. Dan loves it almost as much as me so our love is strengthened. (Corny) So this week Kris Allen was my favorite. He sang "So you feel my Love" by Garth Brooks. It was Awesome! I loved Matt Girard too, but Kris was so great. I have liked him since Hollywood week. And I agree with Simon that he has a good chance of going to the finals! I must have a thing for dark spiky hair (David Archuleta). No really I have a thing for guys that have such command of their voices. Hit the high notes and gentle slopes. My least favorite of the week (and every week for that matter)was Adam! Doesn't it seem like he screams half the time? AAHH! What a scary redition of such a classic song! Ring of Fire indeed. I was with Simon thinking... What the HECK was that!

Oh you're too funny! I must admit - I haven't been on top of American Idol. I keep forgetting to watch it! :< But I did catch the last few episodes. And I'll have to keep on top of it :)
I loved Kris too, and agree that Adam was horrible, but I have liked him in the past, we'll see what happens this week. Sometimes I am confused by the judges comments, for instance they say they don't want to hear the same thing from the contestants yet when someone tries to be different they make comments like "that didn't feel like you singing."?? What do you think of the new judge?

LOL! You make me laugh Juli! Fun to read for sure. You know, I just can't bear to watch Megan Joy! She drives me CRAZY! I am just so embarrassed for her every time she MOVES! JUST STAND STILL AND MAYBE YOU WOULDN'T LOOK SO FREAKIN' RIDICULOUS!!! AND PICK BETTER SONGS FOR THE LOVE OF PETE or someone just VOTE HER OFF ALREADY! AHHH! I know ... who really cares, right? ;)
