Merry Christmas to my Bloggin friends!

This is the picture and letter I am sending out this year!

This was supposed to be the picture, but it didn't turn out as you can see. I had this great inspired idea to take a "spontaneous" pic in the conference center. By the time we got there Dan was so mad at me for forcing him to do this stupid thing, and the tree wasn't great, and there were crowds of people coming in the building. Why do I insist on torturing us all? It ruined the night for sure! The picture on top was one that Angie took on our way over to the "perfect spot". Spotaneous is better, but how do you plan that??? Hope your ideas turn out better!

November in Review...

Proud Pappa!

Playoffs! Go SKYLINE! Gremlins didn't win, but the PeeWee's went all the way to Champs! What a great season!

The girl in the cream sweater is Ethan's crush. Someone asked him if he was going to marry her, and he said "It's complicated." He told me that and I said, "Ethan you won't know who you want to marry until after your mission." He said, "I will if Ivylynn is still in my life."

A fourth grade presentation of the "first Thanksgiving". Prayer in school...I Love it!

Hopefully I am still his first love!

Thanksgiving was a blast with our Beaird family of the North here! This is Arick Beaird, Benji's new best cousin and friend! Doesn't that look like a little Travis and Dan together?

Taking a break setting up for Christmas...my cute kids!

Medical Warning...

Take my advise... be in charge of your own health care!!! Don't leave it up to the Doctors and believe they have your health as a priority. They don't! They have too many other patients to worry about and a family of their own.

Yesterday I had some very scary news that my thyroid level is low and my TSH is high. Not Good. Not good for any pregnant person, but especially a recovering cancer patient. I had a major breakdown last night. I am feeling a little better this morning. Eyes still swollen, but I will go on. I just hope and pray that Lauren is okay in there and no permanent damage is done to me or her. Faith is all you can have at this point, b/c neither of my very capable care providers can answer my pleas for assurance adequately.

Any extra prayers you can send our way will be greatly appreciated.

Raking leaves with Pappa...

My Dad came to hang out with Benji and I the other day since Mom was working. He wanted to help some way, so I put him to the leaves.

They got a system going and soon Benji and Pappa were a leave rakin' team! So cute, I know I will treasure these pics forever!

My Friends are Gorgeous...

I wish I had a picture, but last night as we were saying goodbye after an very nice visit and meal I thought my friends looked beautiful in the Porqupine light. Amy Stephanie, Sarah, Lisa, Becky, Haley I am so glad we get together. What a fun blessing in my life to have friends that knew me way back when. Even as far back as kindergarten Amy and Sarah. It make me glad to be alive.

WARNING: This is NOT Gorgeous. Be glad the camera wasn't higher!

Yes that is Pride and Predjudice in the background. Second Cancer surgery one year ago this month.

What is my problem?

I cannot believe it has been so long since I posted anything. We have this huge camera and I don't take as many pictures as I used to. Without pictures to post I guess I figured that no one would be interested. But You know what, I miss just getting on here and getting stuff off my chest. So if you are not interested in reading my ramblings, don't. I totally understand. But I think I will do it anyway.

First, I want to say how excited I am to have another girl on the way. Everytime I feel her move I am excited. The tought of a new baby in our family to love and get to know is so joyful to think about. On the other (less important in the long run obviously) side is the great new challenge and amount of work we (mostly me) are about to undertake. It is a little scary at times. And I hate to admit this because I have always believed all children are difficult at different stages, but girls might just be more difficult in a very irrational way. Emma is definitely my hardest right now! And I have a three year old, so that is saying a lot. She is whiney, tantruming (still at 7), determined to do it always her way (even if it goes against what you have told her not to do), distracted (her teachers and I have to say her name multiple times to get her to respond), and very demanding. I am hoping this is just a phase and she will come out of it in time. She is sweet darling girl who everyone loves (especially me). Am I in for it though, with another girl waiting in the wings? Are girls really just more emotional and harder to reason with than boys?

More Disgusting details for ya....

Vomiting (also called throwing up, puking, barfing, and emesis) is the forceful expulsion of the contents of one's stomach through the mouth and sometimes the nose.

My trip to Arizona this weekend for my nephew's farewell, ended in the forceful expolsion of my stomach contents in the hotel and heaven forbid in the airplane lavoratory sink. It topped off a week of cleaning up and taking care of all three kids who have been pukin too. I really hope we are done with this, and I really hope I don't have the same flight attendents when I fly to Vegas tomorrow to celebrate my anniversary.

A Sad Day in HIstory...

Do you remember where you were when the world stopped turning? I do. I had a new baby 7 years ago and I had just sent my husband out the door to school when I turned on the TV. I sat in disbelief and horror as I watched the second plance hit the WTC.

I had to have my Dad come over and keep my company because I was so upset. Today I visited my Dad in the hopsital and tried to keep him company while he is so confused and recovering. This day is always emotional for me. But even more this year.

Not right yet

I am still messin around with this blog. I suck at it. (Don't tell my kids I said that). I don't know about this selling stuff on KSL. Some of the people that contact you are scary sounding. I did get a call from someone interested that sounded lagit, but she hasn't called back. Dan is wondering if it is worth $60. to have weirdo's callin, emailin, comin to the house, etc. But I am just ignoring the people I think are convicts. Yesterday was mostly good, but in the afternoon I had an accident that ruined my mood for sure. Without disgusting details I will just say that I didn't make it to the bathroom in time. Being pregnant has its beutiful parts, but yesterday was not one of them. I will be grateful to be done with this phase of my life. I feel like such a loser!

For Sale, and such..

Know anyone who wants to buy my bed? http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218&ad=4155127&cat=456&lpid= (Sorry I don't know how to do a link?) (R-Tard)
I listed this on KSL but I thought I would let you all know about it. These shots are of my darling sista's-in-law helping me take the bed pics. (Tara took pics)

Two prego's and one just had a baby, equals a lot of laying around.

Freshen this up a bit...

It has been too long and I am a little tired of my template...so here you go. What do you think? Just a few updates on my life...

1. So you think you can dance ended well. Still love Twitch best, but Joshua deserves it! The Bollywood routine with Katee is still fun to watch.
2. Olympics are fun too, but what is up with the 8 year old chinese gymnasts being passed off as 16 year olds?
3. I am still sick! And tired! Hopefully this is going to get better. But yes, it is all worth it! (I will keep telling myself that.)
4. Football season is in full swing at the Beairds. Ethan has practice every day for the last three weeks. And from here it only gets worse. Or better as far as Daddy and son are concerned.
5. My Dad is really sick and not able to get any more chemo treatments. He also has a new growth on his lung to be worried about. We pray for him every day!
6. Benji is my whiney, tantruming, darling three year old and we love him as much as we want to throttle him. He peed for the first time in the toilet yesterday! Yeah! I will let you know when we see some poop action.
7. 7 is how old my baby girl just turned on the tenth. We had a kitty cat party. But the guest of honor, our cat, wanted nothing to do with it. Emma you are so gorgeous, fun, and special. We Love YOU!!
8. Yeah for school starting in just 10 days!!!!!
9. D and I are very concerned about the world events these days. I am sad for the Georgian people, and what this invasion means for the rest of us. Perfect love casteth out all fear. John Edwards is Scum. Obama's tax plan is totally missin the mark.
10. I got a new camera! Pics...

YEAH!

As you will notice to the right....I am preggers! We went to the doctor today to hear the heartbeat and check on the size. Everthing is good so far. I have been very nauseous and tired (as you may have noticed from all my laziness) but otherwise feel good. I think it will be great to welcome a new baby into our family next February! The Daddy and the kids are thrilled! Well Benji doesn't get it, but some day he will be glad he wasn't the baby of the family! Is that enough !!!! for ya!

Twitch...4Real!

I don't think any of you watch "So you think you can dance"...do you? I know you do Becky, but you are out of town! Last night was so good! I am such a Twitch fan now. faRealfaReal!

I have a pukey poopy baby today and spent another day on the couch with him. I have done nothing to commenorate Pioneer day, and I probably won't. Not even watch the parade. I am such a bad Utahn.

Oh, and I read this article today in the paper about a blog that makes fun of Mormon Moms that blog. seriouslysoblessed.blogspot.com I don't think I fit that profile, although I do use a lot of "!" in my posts. I don't just talk about how wonderful my life is and how I love everything and my husband and children are perfect. But I do wonder, what is so wrong with looking on the bright side of life. I wish I was more like that.

A little work..

...and my camera did totally break when we went hiking to donut falls. So no pics from me for a long time. But last night our neighborhood was out in force doing yard cleanup. We had dumpsters from the county, and boy did we fill them. It feels so good to throw stuff away! And to see the neighbors workin together. Dan and I also cleared out a lot of dead branches. So now that I have done my work, I will go back to the couch and being lazy. Hope you are enjoying your summer!

So Fun...

I had the time of my life last night at the american idol concert! There were some good numbers from Michael Johns, Brooke, and the others, but the David's stole the show! They were both Awesome! They sang a couple numbers from the show, like Angels and Stand by Me for Archie, and Hello (MY FAV) and Billie Jean for Cook. And they sang a couple they chose. David A sang "Apologize" and Cook sang "My Hero" by Foo Fighters dedicated to his bro with cancer. It was incredible. He is such a great performer. Then they did a number all together which was cool. Totally worth the money, the onery Grandma behind us, the crap ice cream and the hours of traffic in and out! Did anyone else go?

Monday, July 14, 2008

Back on track...Almost.

What a loser I am. How has it been 2 weeks since my last post? All I can say is summer is more busy than the school year it seems. Not to mention the kids using my computer every day to play games. I have plenty to blog about, but don't know where to start. Here is some of what we have been doing the last 12 days... Oops I can't find my camera..?? To be continued.

Found it...

Hike to Donut falls with lots of cousins. We did eat donuts, and we did fall. Well, I did. That water is cold!!

Camping in Idaho and using Dan's new ATV. We loved the ride and the latern box, but hated the mosquitos! "Mom I itch everywhere! AAAHHH!"

Hangin at home with friends and trying to stay sane during this lazy and crazy summer. I read the paper or my ensign for a some adult enlightenment. What do you do in the summer when you are trying to keep your brain from turning into mush?

That's all folks!

That's all folks!
See ya!
